Former Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris was detained at Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday for "suspected marijuana," according to a report.

CSNPhilly.com reported Morris, whom the Suns traded to the Washington Wizards in February, "was with a party that included his mother (and) checked a bag for an international trip when 'a suspicious item' was found in his suitcase, according to law enforcement."

"A secondary search of his bag revealed what law enforcement officials called 'suspected marijuana,'" according to CSNPhilly.com.

Morris was then questioned at the Tinicum Township Police precinct before being released on his own recognizance.

Morris was a constant headache for the Suns both on and off the court toward the end of his tenure in Phoenix. On the court, he criticized fans for a perceived lack of support and reportedly threw a towel in then-Suns coach Jeff Hornacek's face.

Away from the court, he and his twin brother Marcus Morris (who played for the Suns through the 2014-15 season before being traded) were charged with two counts of felony assault in April of 2015 for attacking a man who had allegedly sent text messages to the Morris brothers' mother three months earlier.
