Pedestrian struck by motorcycle in Tempe

Police say a pedestrian in Tempe was taken to the hospital after being hit by a motorcyclist overnight.

The pedestrian was reportedly crossing McClintock Drive mid-block near Apache Boulevard at the time of the crash.

There is no word on the severity of the pedestrian's injuries, but police say they were unconscious but breathing.

The motorcyclist who hit the pedestrian, who was wearing a helmet, stayed on scene. There is no word on whether the rider was injured.

Police are investigating whether speed of impairment were factors in the crash.
