A judge sentenced a former Arizona nurse Wednesday to four years in prison for selling ecstasy.

Brent Forrest, 41, was sentenced in Phoenix by Judge Warren Granville. He had previously pleaded guilty to the sale or transportation of dangerous drugs and facilitation of sale or transportation of dangerous drugs.

The judge also ordered that Forrest's nursing license be revoked.

"Forrest's decision to sell illegal drugs in our community ultimately cost him his career and his freedom," said Attorney General Mark Brnovich in a media release.

In December 2015, Department of Public Safety identified three cases where Forrest sold ecstasy or molly. They searched his home and found 200 tablets of MDMA, marijuana, vials of Lidocaine, psilocin (or mushrooms) and drug paraphernalia.

A grand jury handed up an indictment in February of this year.
