Pre-existing car warranty claims denied

Do you have an extended warranty on your car? Are you considering one?

I'm not a big fan and here's another reason why: pre-existing conditions.

Yep. Just like the ones used by health insurance companies to deny claims.

Bryttani Warner found her car extended warranty has them too.

She bought a minivan and found out it had a transmission issue.

Bryttani says her extended warranty company told her the problem existed before she bought the warranty.

So they wouldn't pay.

A check of major car extended warranties shows pre-existing conditions are always listed as exclusions.

Make sure you get your car checked out by a trusted mechanic before you buy.

And if you have one of these warranties, and your claim is denied for the same reason, fight it.

Have a mechanic try and determine when the problem started.

We all know some insurers will find some way to deny claims even if they are legit.
